JOSEPH LSTIBUREK, B.A.Sc., M.Eng., Ph.D., P.Eng.
Principal of Building Science Corporation and an ASHRAE Fellow
JOSEPH LSTIBUREK, B.A.Sc., M.Eng., Ph.D., P.Eng., is a principal of Building Science Corporation and an ASHRAE Fellow. He is a building scientist who investigates building failures. Dr. Lstiburek received an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto, a masters degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Doctorate in Building Science from the University of Toronto. He has been a licensed Professional Engineer since 1982. When he is not in buildings he drinks red French wine and drives fast German sports cars – but never at the same time. He just spent 100 days skiing – which is why he looks fit and tanned and why his partners look irritated. He used to be a professional skier and had to give it up to get a “straight” job – something that he regrets.
