ANDREW CARUSO, a recognized thought leader on emerging design talent, is the firmwide Director of Intern Development for Gensler. In this capacity, Andrew advises the firm’s chief executives on issues related to emerging talent populations in the design industry. Additionally, he directs a portfolio of programs that include talent recruitment, early-career professional development and licensure, university outreach, student internships, scholarships and research fellowships. In 2010, the programs under Andrew’s direction earned Gensler the 2010-2013 IDP Outstanding Firm Award from the American Institute of Architects, the industry’s highest honor for excellence in early-career professional development.

A featured speaker at a number of national and international symposia, Andrew has presented papers at the International Conference on Humanities and the Arts, the Oxford University Conference on Architectural Education, and the International Union of Architects’ World Congress on Architecture, among others. His writing and design work has been widely published, including features by DesignIntelligence, the United States National Building Museum, the AIA Committee on the Environment, and Architect Magazine.

Andrew is a LEED Accredited Professional of the United States Green Building Council and continues to contribute to diverse architectural projects as a practicing professional with Gensler.
